Ballymena United showed resilience to take a point from a 1-1 Premiership draw at Dungannon Swifts despite playing most of the match with ten men. The result leaves Oran Kearney's side ninth in the table with six points from seven games.
Igor Rutkowski gave the visitors the lead after 24 minutes, but the game turned just four minutes later when defender Steven Whiteside was sent off. Dungannon Swifts capitalised on their numerical advantage before half-time, with David Wallace equalising three minutes before the break.
Kearney made a double substitution at half-time, introducing Michael Leetch and Frazer Thorndike, but neither side could find a winner in the second period.
Attention now turns to a home fixture against bottom side Portadown next Saturday. A win could provide a vital boost as the team looks to climb from their current mid-table position.
