Ballymena United has completed the signing of striker Chris McKee, who is eager for a fresh start following his departure from Linfield. The 24-year-old forward has agreed to terms at the Ballymena Showgrounds after a successful four-and-a-half-year spell at Windsor Park, where he contributed to two league titles and three League Cups. McKee expressed excitement about joining Ballymena United, stating that he is ready to kick on in his career and is impressed by the club's project and the squad they are building. He is expected to be joined by former Linfield teammates David Walsh, Scot Whiteside, Charlie Allen, and Josh Archer, as well as Cliftonville players Micheal Glynn and Jonny Addis. Ballymena United's manager, Oran Kearney, believes McKee will be instrumental in boosting the team's goal-scoring efforts next season. Last season, the club struggled with scoring and conceded too many goals, making McKee's addition a crucial part of their strategy moving forward. With several players released, including Aaron Jarvis and Stephen O'Donnell, Ballymena United is focused on strengthening their squad for the upcoming season.
