Ballymena United History
Ballymena United is one of Northern-Ireland's most traditional and popular football clubs. Founded in 1928 in Ballymena, the club plays its home matches at the historic The Showgrounds and competes in the Northern Ireland Premiership. Known as The Sky Blues, it has built over a century of rich history — trophies, iconic players, and unforgettable moments. Its passionate fanbase, one of the most devoted in the country, maintains one of the fiercest local rivalries with Coleraine. Currently managed by J. Ervin, Ballymena United continues to write new chapters in its century-old story.
